Residual Stress Measurement system
The MTS3000-Restan (Residual Stress Analyzer) is an automatic measurement system designed to measure residual stresses by the hole-drilling strain gage method, developed and patented by SINT Technology.
Key features of the system are:
- Complete customizable solution depending on the material under test based on different drilling slides using turbine and electric motor technology;
- Different drilling slides depending on the application of the method to metals, polymers and composites;
- High-speed drilling technology (approximately 400,000 RPM with a compressed air turbine / approximately 50,000 RPM by electric motor);
- Straightforward, automatic and fast to use;
- Suitable for both laboratory and on-site applications;
- Evaluation of residual stresses in depth;
- Possibility to choose between data processing and analysis methods (ASTM E837-20, Integral method, Kockelmann method, HDM);
- Possibility to choose different correction algorithms (eccentricity, local plasticity effect, fillet radius, intermediate thickness);
- Evaluation of the uncertainty related to the measurements for both uniform and non-uniform calculation methods.
